The Work
Meijer Brand ReDesign
Graphic Design / Product Design
/What
The Brief was to re-design the packaging for Meijer's house brand products.
/More information
As it stands, Meijer's house brand products are rather overcomplicated and inconsistent with their design.
Using the colors that are heavily associated with the brand as well as simple, single-stroke illustrations, I designed Meijer's house line to not only be more visually simple, but more sophisticated.

Coffee Canisters
Graphic Design / Product Design
What
Our assignment was to re-create packaging for an object/tool we use on a daily basis. We were to reimagine a simpler and more effective package without taking away the functionality of the product.
More information
Coffee is most commonly stored in bags with a metallic tie used to close the bag. I found these bags were difficult to keep closed, pour out of, refill, and preserve the freshness of the beans. The Coffee Canisters I made were made out of glass to preserve freshness and had a twisting open/close lid at the bottom of the container used for dispensing the beans as well as allowing for an easy refill and close.

Self Branding - LeaveBehind
Product Design / 3D Design
/What
A small 3D token created with the purpose of replacing the average business card.
/More information
On this leave-behind, I included my personal information, as a business card would, but also some work examples in an easily understandable 3D pop-up.

John Cage Collateral
Graphic Design
/What
The brief was to create the concert collateral for a John Cage performance
/More information
The use of black is to symbolize silence which was often explored by Cage in his writing, more specifically the piece 4'33". The use of tan was to represent the manuscript paper on which music is written. The 5 distorted lines represent the lines on manuscript paper, while they start in their regular form, they become distored as time passes, which reinstates Cage's exploritory and experimental techniques used in his compositions.
